Y’all I am SO thrilled to be launching this gorgeous brand today!! It’s so special to me and I’ve literally been chomping at the bit to launch it for you all to see. I met Shelby a few years ago and we instantly hit it off! Shelby is one of those people who isn’t just incredibly talented, but also has a heart of gold. She’s such a sweet, kind, and supportive person and I’m so grateful she trusted me to design her branding for her!

Shelby has been capturing couples love stories for over 4 years. She started wedding photography because she had a passion for capturing weddings. And let me tell you, she truly loves every moment of wedding day!
From the detail that goes into them and the creativity of her clients, she loves seeing how each client makes their special day their own! The purpose behind Shelby Cole Photography & her why, is her passion for capturing timeless memories for her clients and being a part of such a monumental moment in their lives. She truly loves love & being able to capture every moment between them & their loved ones is an honor for her.

We wanted to design a brand that was not only unique to Shelby, but full of meaning & symbolism!

 

 

The overall brand design needed to be high end, classic, and elegant, while also remaining timeless for the variety of clients she works with. When designing this brand, I wanted to create a detailed symbolic elements that added a personalized touch & a nod to something special to Shelby….Disney! Disney holds a very special place in Shelby & her fiance’s hearts. They both love Disney & her fiancé actually proposed to her in front of the castle!! How cool is that?! I wanted to design something that subtly represented her love for Disney without being like, “hey I love Disney”. We also wanted this nod to Disney to be something that can form a connection point with her target audience & the brides she works with, while also maintaining that gorgeous high end feel that gets her booking more high end clients!

 

Her logo is full of elegance from start to finish. From the slopes of the serif font, to the crest, everything is elegant and timeless. The crest is comprised of a few nods to Disney. From the shape being the shape of Princess Aurora’s crown, to the thorns that intertwine the crest representing Sleeping Beauty & Beauty and the Beast, it’s full of little nods here and there to her favorite things! The flowers chosen are Roses which also represent love & romance, grace, beauty & joy. Roses are also the most common of the wedding day florals! I also created a unique monogram that “linked” your initials together. The S & C are intertwined with one another to represent the bond through marriage & connection points you form with your clients that last a lifetime!
