Well hello there! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted a brand launch! I’m beyond thrilled to finally launch this gorgeous brand for the amazing Aly Matei Photography. It’s time for the first brand launch of the year and oh man.. it’s a gorgeous one!! I was honored have the opportunity to work with Aly Matei Photography to rebrand her business. This past year, her business DRASTICALLY grew and evolved and with that, she outgrew her branding. She realized her style needed to reflect a more high end, fine art feel to it rather than the playful design it once was. With Aly’s brand design, we took a new approach to finding out who her target audience was and developed a brand strategy that would help her business grow!
After developing Aly’s brand strategy, it was clear that we needed to develop the Aly Matei Photography brand into a more fine art, luxurious, high end feel. We wanted to keep her unique style & personal touch that she gives to her clients in their client experience as a part of the overall brand feel & design.
To achieve this, we started by experimenting with serif fonts & manipulating the overall structure of the typography. Serif fonts communicate a sense of luxury & timelessness that the Aly Matei Brand needed to evoke to its audience. The overall brand also needed to be versatile, personal, and have refined elements in comparison to the original Aly Matei branding. The focus was to showcase those keywords to her brand strategy: detailed, refined, fine art, personal, high end, “semi-perfectionist”, valuable, and meaningful relationships.
We created a series of illustrations that would also accompany her branding! The purpose of the illustrations was to add little details & features of some of her favorite things she captures from wedding day! From the shoes, to the bride herself, each of these sketches represents a piece of her brand!
With her brand strategy in place, Aly now knows who her ideal client is to market to. She’s got a strategy that not only acts as a road map for her ideal client, but her business! It provided her with clarity when it came to who she needed to market to, who her audience was, and with that, she was able to dive into the rest of her branding development with ease!
